Qi Gong Customs

YeYoung Qi Gong instruction is a respectful teach-and-learn tradition. To receive full benefits from the traditional Chinese teaching and practice, students need to follow the traditional disciplines as much as possible.

In Chinese culture, persons who have mastered a craft or art are referred to as “Master.” Therefore all students are required to address their principal teacher, David E. Azevedo, as  “Master Azevedo” or  “Master.”

All students are required to address Grand Master YeYoung as  “Master YeYoung”, “Grand Master”, or “Master.”

From time to time Grand Master YeYoung hosts group instruction. You may be invited to special events for full immersion into the YeYoung linage traditions. Events may include in-depth study of Chinese texts, participation in the Chinese art of tea, lectures on related subjects, and opportunites to meet esteemed guests.

Attendance at some events may be required.
